Damage

I’m angry again
Now that I am
Once again
Seeking.
It seems I am
More easily hurt
The more vulnerable
I am.
I doubt I will ever
Fully understand
What happens
In my mind
In these times,
But now I am realizing
That this anger
And this hurt
Are the reasons
I avoid opening
My heart.
