As you lift your elegant face up over the horizon,
A golden glow lights up the earth.
As dawn approaches at its steady pace,
Your glow lights up the blind man's face.
He looks up and smiles,
He sees your beauty,
Your love,
As he feels your warm embrace.
Good morning, Sun!
No one needs sight to know your beauty!
As your innocent waves lap the shore,
They bathe the little boy's feet.
And although he cannot hear you,
He very well knows your strength.
As the little boy runs through you,
Your gentle waves washing over him,
A joyful cry splits the air,
As he realizes,
Oh Water!
No one needs to hear to know your power!
As you gently brush a young girl's face,
And wrap her in your arms.
She simply sighs,
And then replies:
"I'm sorry, I cannot run with you today."
She feels like a prisoner in her chair,
Knowing she will never stand.
But you do not give up so fast,
As you whisper in her ear:
"You do not need to stand to run with me,
You know that now, my dear."
She lifts her face up to the sky,
And lets out an echoing cry:
Hello, Wind!
Thank you!
For now I know,
I do not need to stand to run with you!
And from his perch in the sky,
The sun smiles down on the man.
The waves gently soak the little boy's feet.
And the wind rakes a hand through the young girl's hair.
...And as of now,
The sun shines warm,
The wind is calm,
And the waves cease...
As I realize now,
I am at peace!
