Salvation

Last year, the veil fell away
And I rejoiced
Because today I see
Last year, the burden was lifted
So I could stand
Free of worry and fear
Last year, I got a new heart
To replace the emptiness
Fill it with His love
Last year, the chains were broken
I’m a child of light today
The darkness is in another place
I’ve lived of the world for nineteen years
But only the last one counts
Because I’ve been freed by Jesus
He chose me and I said yes
