Crisis Of Belief

There was a time and place
One recognized his faith
And the other turned away -
His answers written in the clay
Today is here and now
His brother wonders how
The other just believed
In the grace he received
While his brother is descending
One soul is rejoicing;
Dancing with the angels
In eternal life above
But what remains on earth
Is an angel with one wing
Crushed heart and broken spirit
No one left to love
Will they come together
So both will live forever?
Only time will tell the story
That both may see the glory.
Pray for the one who’s left behind
With so much anguish on his mind
Let him see the promise
That is just above his head
A soul flies free of pain now
But he can’t tell his brother
He’s forgiven him for all
The things he left unsaid
God, have mercy on him
The one-winged angel left in sin
When his brother fell to grace
Because You looked upon his face.
